My wife and I stayed at the Glen Guesthouse for 2 nights. Good value for the money for a centrally located hotel. Something to keep in mind:
1.Rooms are not equipped with the following items- alarm clocks, hairdryers and irons, because staff kept losing them to previous guests. But they may have them at the front desk. However, rooms are clean and do have coffeemakers with well stocked coffee/tea and televisions with 6 local channels.
2. Payment is expected upfront and credit cards without a security chip can not be processed.
3. Front desk is open 24 hours, you have to buzz to get in after hours. A key has to be left at front desk each time you leave a hotel.
We found the staff was quite friendly. The lady working at the front desk not only booked a cab for us, but also arranged a wake up call.
Note: Full Irish breakfast consists of 2 pieces of toast, 2 sausages, slice of ham, one egg sunny side up, some baked beans and a coffee/tea:) - Tim Cornwell
